aging

in turkey, i was told, people don't celebrate their birthdays anymore once they become adults. so they forget their date and year of birth. and therefore their age.

hokusai changed his name several times. each time he gave his name to his best student, found a new one for himself and entered a new artistic period.

and his mangas are kind of the japanese equivalent of didero's encyclopedia.

cover version

Herbsttag

Befiehl den letzten Früchten voll zu sein;

that a man, who thinks this fast and sharp, has a drug problem is not surprising. the whole interview is intersting.

what a performance

it's only in art - in films or on stage - that you see this kind of pride, this kind of honesty, vulnerability and beauty.
interview and a sentimental song for my friend over there.
ps: after having listened to this song for about 734 times - also in different versions - i realize that she wrote it for / about her daughter.
